How do antioxidants work?

One part of ageing is caused by “free radical damage”. Free radicals are molecules that have become short of an electron. To become stable, free radicals seek out other molecules and can take an electron from them. This can cause cell damage leading to skin ageing, among other things. Supplying antioxidants to the skin helps mop up these pesky free radicals so they leave your cells alone. The difficult part is to ensure that the antioxidants get deep enough into the skin to function. That’s why we choose the ones we use as they are known to be able to penetrate the skin and get to work.

Is vitamin C okay for sensitive skin?

Yes, all our products are formulated keeping in mind the most sensitive skin too. The high amount of vitamin C in C25 Serum is potent, but the formula is suitable for sensitive skin because of the additional skin-soothing ingredients and extra formulary steps taken to ensure its stability. Vitamin C isn’t known to cause skin irritation.

Do serums go underneath or on top of moisturiser?

Serums go directly onto the clean skin, under your moisturiser. Apply directly to the skin after cleansing and allow it to soak in for a few minutes before following with your favourite moistures.

How often do the serums need to be applied?

For best results, use it up to twice daily before you apply your moisturiser. For daytime, finish with sunscreen SPF 15+.

What does Australian Golden Clay Mask do?

Australian Golden Clay Mask is specially formulated to help with acne, hyperpigmentation, dark spots and enlarged pores. It's a vegan-friendly mask that relieves acne inflammation, reduces redness and prevents acne breakouts. It protects your skin from free radicals, reduces the appearance of blemishes and pigmentation, lightens dark spots, tightens pores and evens your skin tone.

How often should I use this product?

If you have oily to combination skin, use 2 to 3 times a week for best results. For dry or sensitive skin, use up to 2 times per week.

Are your products tested on animals?

Wawrina is not tested on animals. We love our furry friends and are cruelty-free.

Are your products vegan-friendly and gluten-free?

Yes, our products are vegan-friendly and gluten-free and do not come in contact with gluten during production.

I have a history of irritated skin and eczema/rosacea. Can I still use the mask?

Yes! It is known that clay masks and facials dry your skin, so it is important to moisturise after removing the mask. Please do a patch test at least 48 hours before you use it.

If you do suffer from either, you may experience a slight tingling sensation on your first use. However, please note our products do not contain any ingredients that might trigger eczema or rosacea – everyone is different and everyone’s skin reacts differently to certain skin care products. Therefore, it is best to check with your GP if you have any major concerns.

Does this product help with acne?

Australian Golden Clay Mask has multi-purpose ingredients with antioxidant protection and anti-inflammatory properties. It also has antimicrobial benefits, which aid in preventing the growth of bacteria—a big factor to help gain control over acne breakouts.

Is it safe to use while I am pregnant?

Congratulations! Our mask doesn't contain any chemicals that can harm you or the baby. It contains a very small amount of preservatives just to preserve efficacy. However, we do recommend seeking your doctor's advice if unsure.

Is it correct that all skin care products contain preservatives?

Correct! Preservatives are necessary to make sure that your skincare product stays at its most effective in different climates and environments. We have, however, kept preservatives to a bare minimum – it is in our best interest to ensure the efficacy of our product and also ensure that furry bacteria don’t grow inside your Australian Golden Clay Mask.

How long does shipping take?

We use Australia Post to deliver our parcels to AUS and NZ.

Shipping within AUS takes 2-5 business days, while 5-10 business days in NZ.

In other countries, it takes between 15-25 business days (depending on your local post services).

Can I change my delivery address or cancel my order?

Unfortunately, we cannot cancel your order or change your address once your parcel has been dispatched. We encourage you to always double-check your address before placing your order. If you wish to cancel your order after it has been dispatched, you will need to wait for it to reach you and either reject the delivery or return your order to us for a refund. $10 for shipping costs will be deducted from all refunds.
